Inn Cycle Path

As one of the incredibly large European long-distance cycle routes, over a distance of 515 kilometres, it connects the countries of Switzerland, Austria and Germany: The Inn Cycle Path.

Starting from the Swiss village of Maloja, it leads along the Inn river, the lifeline and economic core of the area. It then follows on through St. Moritz, Landeck, Innsbruck, Kufstein, Rosenheim, Altötting, Simbach am Inn and Ering into the Passau Land region.

Here, it leads on the west side from Ering through Malching to Würding and Gögging (a side trip to Bad Füssing can be made from here!) and from there, the path leads on further through Mittich to Neuhaus am Inn, where a perfect connection to the Baroque city of Schärding is situated. As it continues on the Bavarian side, the route proceeds through the scenically exquisite Vornbach Gorge and Neuburg am Inn (worth seeing here: the Rural District Gallery at Neuburg Castle) through the Neuburg Forest and in the City of Three Rivers, Passau.

If you want, you can cross the river at several points. In doing so, you also cross the border and continue on towards Passau, either on the Austrian or Bavarian side depending on what you fancy – true cycling fun, literally speaking, without any borders!
Further information on the Inn Cycle Path can be found on our interactive map and at www.innregionen.com.
